“The real war against climate is being fought on our plates, multiple times a day with every food choice we make. One of the biggest challenges facing our planet, and our species is that we are knowingly eating ourselves into extinction, and doing very little about it.”

Hence Sleeping Lions Food Platform.

But not only.

Time is running out Lions!

This single photo of a polar bear will show you why we need to stand up for the planet, and now!!!

Another grassroots initiative and extremely important one indeed!
Re-aligning law to protect the Earth.

From Article 4 of Trust Fund Document:

"Becoming a trustee of this document is to become an Earth Protector and Trustee of the Earth. It is a declaration of love and acknowledgement that the Earth, the ecosystems of Earth and inhabitants of Earth whether human or otherwise have the right to peaceful enjoyment. It is a declaration of belief that this peaceful enjoyment is both a moral and legal right, and that any human act or omission which severely diminishes such peaceful enjoyment is a crime.

Becoming a Trustee of the Earth is to become a protector of a law which is in alignment with a universally recognised moral code of respect, peace and a duty of care for all life. It is a direct expression of intent to create peace…

Good on you Bravehearts!

Letting Maya's words echo in my Heart...
Sunshine to you Lions

We, this people, on a small and lonely planet
Traveling through casual space
Past aloof stars, across the way of indifferent suns
To a destination where all signs tell us
It is possible and imperative that we learn
A brave and startling truth

When we come to it
We, this people, on this wayward, floating body
Created on this earth, of this earth
Have the power to fashion for this earth
A climate where every man and every woman
Can live freely without sanctimonious piety
Without crippling…

Buying without plastic, ideally without any packaging, can save your life! ;-)

What is highly processed, packed with additives of all sorts and transported from another end of the world usually goes with a nasty wrapper.
If you avoid the packaging, you are very likely avoiding all the nasty chemicals too.

A year down the zero-waste journey and I hardly ever visit a supermarket. Could zero-waste be a way to independence from big brands and multinational corporations too?

P.S. Amusing how very reluctant media can be to take on board this kind of research.
Intuitive knowledge, no rocket science!

Click on the link below to read about the founding of the UK Heritage Grain Alliance and listen to John Letts' talk on heritage grains given at the Oxford Real Farming Conference in January 2018. John explains what heritage grains are and how they can help heal our local economies, soils, food systems and benefit our very own health.

Lucky to have such an inspirational revolutionary as a local farmer and friend. John's flour soon to be available as part of Sleeping Lions Food Platform. Will keep you updated.

"The human body is beautiful. It is such a privilege to be embodied... In the deepest sense, the body is the most intimate place. Your body is your clay home; your body is the only home that you have in this universe. It is in and through your body that your soul becomes visible and real for you. Your body is the home of your soul on earth...

The body is the angel who expresses and minds the soul; we should always pay loving attention to our bodies. The body has often been ascapegoat for the deceptions and poisons of the mind. A primordial innocence surrounds the body, an incredible brightness and goodness. The body is the angel of the life...

The body is much sinned against, even in a religion based on the Incarnation. Religion has often presented the body as a the source of evil, ambiguity, lust and seduction. This is utterly false and irrelevant. The body is sacred...

The body is a sacred…

In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.

For a long time it has watched your desire,
Feeling the emptiness growing inside you,
Noticing how you willed yourself on,
Still unable to leave what you had outgrown.

It watched you play with the seduction of safety
And the gray promises that sameness whispered,
Heard the waves of turmoil rise and relent,
Wondered would you always live like this.

Then the delight, when your courage kindled,
And out you stepped onto new ground,
Your eyes young again with energy and dream,
A path of plenitude opening before you.

Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life’s desire.

Awaken your spirit to…

Today I rise and... ROAR...RRR…

Roar with me Lions!

Renounce… your nationality, gender, species, religion

The first modern Briton had dark skin and blue eyes, London scientists said on Wednesday, following groundbreaking DNA analysis of the remains of a man who lived 10,000 years ago.
Known as "Cheddar Man" after the area in southwest England where his skeleton was discovered in a cave in 1903, the ancient man has been brought to life through the first ever full DNA analysis of his remains.

Will future generations understand
The turmoil of these days, the strain and stress,
The dawn's despair, the night's uneasiness,
The greed of itching palms throughout the land?
Will they conceive the fires fanatics fanned,
Of time the universal wastefulness,
The strange philosophies the mobs confess
That every throat cry out some new demand?

Time was when men held saner counsel here.
Will that time come again? Shall we behold
From this grim madness some new love unfold?
We pray for…

We know where we’re going. For many years, scientists have warned that we are crashing through the Earth's ecological limits. We know we are in the midst of climate breakdown and ecological collapse. Yet we seem constitutionally incapable of acting on this knowledge.

The United States has elected a man who promised to unleash a gigantic ecological tantrum, and has, unfortunatelly, delivered. The UK government has produced 150 pages of greenwash it calls the 25 Year Environment Plan: the same gutless twaddle governments have been publishing for the past 25 years. As always, it was described in some quaters as "a good start". No policy, anywhere, is commensurate with the scale of the challenge we face.

So what stops us from responding? For years, I’ve suspected that the cause runs even deeper than the power of big business and the official obsession with economic growth, potent…
